Day 21 Mani inspired by a Color

Today I was searching for the Wet N Wild On the prowl collection when I seen this beautiful scarf and I just love the color and I went home without the scarf because I was broke so next best thing was to go home an paint my nails that same color. It was pretty hard since I forgot to get a picture of it but I managed to find a similar color OPI I eat mainely lobster. It went on smooth in 2 coats I was unable to capture the gold shimmer in it.

I love this color! I always fall in love with pink with a gold shimmer in. What color can you not resist to buy and wear no matter how many you have?

You Fancy Huh!

Can you guess what polish I might be showing you today from the tittle? Well I finally got his polish after drooling over for a while. Its been sold out every where I go and Ulta actually just got the collection so I grabbed it up quick. I wish I would have got too because I am in love with this polish! Ok so I am talking about Orly Fancy Fuchsia from Orly's Precious Collection. Fancy Fuchsia is a very bright fuchsia that is nice and even in 2 coat.

I love this color! This just became my go to polish. I see myself using this polish alot so I need to go hunt down a backup bottle! When you really like a color do you buy a backup bottle? or is it a waste?

Va Va Voom!

I have failed! Ive been on a no buy for about 2 weels but I couldn't anymore and one reason why was because of ORLY Summer 2011 Collection: Pinup at Sally's which is still having there buy 2 get 1 free deal. So I just couldn't help myself and I can't  just get one when there's a sale! I also had my co-workers Pro card so I got it for even cheaper! The beauty that called out to me was Orly Va Va Voom its a pretty pink neon creme. It applied perfect in 2 coats but dried semi matte the finish kinda looked like Orly Plastix collection. I added a top coat to get that glossy finish, sorry for the messy clean up it was an early morning out the door mani.

I love this color but yet is there any pink I don't like lol...

Office friendly polish

When it come to picking nail polish I usually go for the brightest or most glittery polish as working for the Boys and Girls club my nail polish colors aren't going to offend anyone if anything it keep my kids attention as I point to their homework lol.. But I sometimes have important meetings that I need to have office friendly polish and I struggle to pick them because I don't have many. I had an important meeting a couple of days ago and I chose Sinful colors Social Ladder. Its a shimmery light kinda nude pink. I liked the color a lot but Its not me so after the meeting I took it right off.

3 coat and top coat

What do you consider a office friendly polish? What are some of you favorite office friendly colors that you ladies have?

Color Club Yum Gum

A couple of weeks ago I bought Color Club's Wicked sweet collection and this is the first nail polishes that I have bought that were scented. Ive always wanted to try them but didn't really like the colors I was finding. This collection had some great vibrant colors so it was a must have. I just realized Color Club raised their prices I bought this collection for $17.50 and I looked at Transdesign and VNS and they are now $21 so now each polish is $3 which is about the same price as China Glaze if not more I don't think its right.

The first color I tried from the collection was of course the pink named Yum Gum. It applied great I did 3 coat with a top coat and after it was dry it smelled just like bubble gum. I was walking around smelling my nails and making other smell my nails. I wore this for a week and by day 3 the smell was starting to wear off.

I got bored after it no longer smelled like gum so I wanted to add a little something to it since I was also going to Foxwoods with my hubby that night. I wanted to bling it out with theses full nail bling stickers I got from Claire's this was the 1st time I used something like this. I applied them over the nail polish. This is what it looked like that night sorry about the dark picture.

This is what it looked like in the car and by the time I got to Foxwoods the stickers were starting to lift up and slide off by the end of the night I probably only had like 1 left. I really liked what it looked like and I still had a couple left in the pack so I decided to do accent nails with them and this time I before I applied them I added some nail glue to make sure they wasn't lifting off hours later. The bling on the accent nail didn't come off  till I got bored with them which was 2 days later but I'm pretty sure it would have lasted a lot longer.

I will probably buy theses again but of course not follow the directions and just apply them with some nail glue instead. Have any of you seen or tried theses before?

Pink Overload!

Today my cousin came to me wanting me to do her nails. I of course said yes because I love being able to try some of my untried. I asked her what she had in mind and she seen my nails with the glitter accent finger and she wanted the same idea but different colors. I asked what color and she said a make me happy color. My cousin couldn't pick a color of what she calls a make me happy color. So I picked out Zoya Happi if that's not a make me happy color then it didn't live up to its name lol.. as for the accent finger she picked out OPI Teenage Dream.

3 coats of Happi with OPI start to finish
3 coats of Teenage dream with Seche Vite

She loved them and will probably wear it till the last piece of nail polish on her nails. I hope Zoya polishes last with the OPI start to finish then I wont have to buy their Color Lock System.
